The Oral Roberts University men’s and women’s track teams competed in the Iowa State Classic and Wichita State Herm Wilson Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Junior Madison Reynolds had a record day at the Iowa State classic, winning the 400-meter dash with a personal best time of 52.86. It was the 14th fastest time in the nation this season in the 400-meter dash.
There were also career best and first time victories for the Golden Eagles who competed in Wichita. ORU had a total of eight people finish in the top three in their events Saturday and 12 finished in the top five at Wichita.
Tamaira Williams recorded her collegiate best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.55 seconds. Freshman Reinhard Ndlovu walked away with his first NCAA victory in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.08 seconds.
Omega Reese recorded her best time in the 800-meter and finished third with a time of 2:14.35.
Samantha Watson finished third in the 3000-meter run at 10:24.01. Freshman Asher Roberts placedd third in the 400-meter in 58.19 seconds.
In the field events for ORU, Justin Estala finished second in the pole vault. Estala had the top collegiate clearing mark in the event at 5.21.
Kaleb Presley finished with his third top three finish of the year in the men’s long jump. Presley’s jump distance was 6.78 meters.
The next event for the men’s and women’s track teams is the Summit League Indoor Championships at North Dakota State. The Championships will take place February 27-28.
